The 7 Principles of Success

Talent-Based Leadership System is successful in helping individuals and helping all types of organizations because of adherence to the following 7 principles of success:

1. SELF-RESPECT AND RESPECT FOR OTHERS

The essential first step in building a successful team is for each individual to have respect for themselves and for others. The Talent-Based Leadership System initiates a process of self-discovery that enhances the individual's self-respect. Participants in the CDEF programs gain respect for each other almost instantly.

2. OPEN COMMUNICATION

The Talent-Based Leadership System establishes a method for efficient and effective team communication. Participants learn that a true team environment should be a secure place where they can share and create together regardless of job description or title.

3. SHARED INFORMATION

The Talent-Based Leadership System creates an environment for free and easy communication within the organization. A true team understands the direction, vision and mission of the organization and of the team, group, or department. A true team also understands how each member of the team fits into the overall strategic plan of the organization and how each individual plays a role in that "dream." The same information at the top can now easily reach the bottom, and vice versa.

4. TRUST

The re-engineering and downsizing of recent years have taken the trust out of business and the work environment. Employees can no longer trust they will be in their job for a career. They have generally lost trust in "the system." Through the Talent-Based Leadership System, this unique method of enhancing communication, trust is restored into any group, team, department, or company.

5. PERSONAL RESPONSIBILITY

The Talent-Based Leadership System empowers participants to achieve their creative potential and experience the power of being creative as a team. When individuals gain self-respect, when they discover they are vital assets to the organization--regardless of title or position--when they experience respect from their peers and supervisors, their self-confidence rises and they become empowered and assume responsibility.

6. CREATlVITY

The Talent-Based Leadership System frees employees from the limitations that restrict creativity. Dreams are essential for success. In a world of increased competition where things are being done "smarter and faster," we all must be able to bring forth new products and services, develop new strategic alliances, and innovate new ways of doing things. The bottom line -- you must be creative to survive. Creativity is the key to survival as an individual and as a team.

7. DREAMS

The Talent-Based Leadership System helps each individual identify his or her career dream and goals. A person should always have an idea of what path he or she wishes to travel, where they want to go and what they want to do. This is critical for success. By sharing this within the team, the walls that surround each person begin to break down. We begin to see everyone, including students, as real people, with real lives, not just job descriptions and titles.
