Participants were asked to create with no limits or negatives, the best educational programs and ideas they would have for their School District.

Group 1:

  • Complete science labs w/supplies, materials, equipment.

  • Larger rooms & desks – more personal space.

  • Provide services for all students w/physical & mental disabilities.

  • Have two teacher aids for every teacher.

  • Larger classrooms.

  • Smaller class size 12 to 15 students per teacher.

  • Different class to teach life skills – Civics Class to learn for Gov. workers or jobs, Computer design, Culinary classes.

  • Teachers teach in their favorite or strongest subject areas (not set classes for teachers).

  • Teachers are paid to travel to other countries to learn that countries’ culture & language, etc.

  • Omit paperwork for everything.

  • Eliminate testing.

  • HS departments have all supplies & equipment needed for projects – i.e. sewing machines & supplies, science project & supplies, math-rulers, protractors etc.

  • Library needs a quiet area for reading – comfortable chairs & couches.

  • Area for students to do research projects & some one to help only in this area.

  • More books and magazines.

  • 2 more school vehicles.

  • Activity bus w/ac & bathroom facilities – TV etc.

  • Landscaping w/flowers and trees – person to do gardening only.

  • Field trips out of state, out of country.

  • Have a IMAX here.

  • Swimming pool, tennis courts – a complete fitness center – have football field & track on campus.

  • Band instruments for all students – Band rooms for all grades – chorus supplies – risers available.

  • Golf course – a professional coach for every sport.

  • Auditorium w/modern technology comfortable seats, correct lighting – big enough to seat 1,000 – stage.

  • Nice gym with stadium seats for everyone.

  • Multi purpose room w/ carpet – all types of games – activity center.

  • Principal’s aide.

Group 5:

  • Secretary and aid for every teacher.

  • 5 students / teacher (except for large group activities).

  • Unlimited equipment, supplies, travel funding.

  • Laptop for every student w/internet access.

  • Motivational counselor for every 5 students (or advisor).

  • Night school for parents (up to bachelors degree).

  • Special needs resource centers for any mental, physical, or educational need.

  • Developmental daycare for pregnant teens of working moms.

  • Vocational training developed on school campus.

  • Culinary interests developed in school cafe.

  • Regular workshop presentations by working professionals at the top of their field.

  • Biannual field trips to other countries to gain insight into other cultures.

  • Limited term cost of living supplements granted for any age student 16 or over.

  • 1 year sabbatical for instructors every 5 years.
