What is the Talent-Based Leadership System
(T-BLS)?

The proprietary Talent-Based Leadership System is the foundation upon which all of the Career Dreams programs are built. T-BLS is based on the fact that every one of us is truly BRILLIANT at something! It is not just what we believe, it is one of the absolute truths in life. Our BRILLIANCE is made up of our natural talents, our passions and what we love to do. The Career Dreams programs are about discovering and/or bringing back to the surface, our talents and our dreams and acting in accordance with them. As we understand our BRILLIANCE, our unique talents, and apply them to our jobs and our teams, and to our companies, our dreams become a reality.


So what does the T-BLS do?

It helps all employees discover their natural talents, passions, creativity, and dreams for their jobs. It facilitates teamwork, sharing and open communication while restoring respect, trust, creativity, and productivity to the work environment.


Why is it different from any other program out there?

Because, you see, we operate from the premise that every person is truly brilliant at something. We enable the senior executives, management and employees at all levels to discover or re-discover their talents, their own personal brilliance and to recognize the brilliance in those around them. When this is accomplished, employees achieve their dreams for their jobs, teamwork becomes a reality, goals are achieved and productivity soars. Also, our programs work! The positive effects last for years after the workshops and seminars have ended!


But, can't I just take some kind of test to find out what I'm good at? Isn't that an easier, quicker, cheaper way to go?

Our philosophy differs from most standardized tests that try to figure out your employees' personality, temperament, interests, and skills. You do not need a test to tell you what your talents are. You already know them. What we do is help you discover, or re-discover your natural talents for yourself. Self-discovery is infinitely better than having someone else tell you. The results of our system are immediate and long lasting. You do not need to wait days or weeks to get the results back in order to "learn what you like, who you really are, and what you would be good at doing." Also, standardized tests do not promote teamwork. In any event, giving standardized tests to hundreds or thousands of staff members is not cheap, quick, or easy.


How do I know if the CDI program is different?

You will see the positive comments and extremely high marks given to our programs in the evaluations administered to participants of our programs nation wide.


Why is the T-BLS results so long-lasting?

Our results are long lasting because each participant becomes intimately involved in a process that facilitates their own self-discovery. The answers we seek to our talents, passions, creativity and career dreams are within each of us, not on a computer-generated answer sheet. No one can categorically tell you what the answers to your life are. You discover the important things from within and come up with the answers yourself. What you learn about yourself in our program is not something you forget easily. It's powerful and stays with you…...indefinitely.


Could you be a little more specific about how the CDI programs work?

We'll try to describe how our programs work, but it's a little like trying to describe the taste of strawberries to someone who has never had one. It's really easier just to taste the strawberry yourself. But this should give you some idea of the process that people go through:

1) We will train 10% of your staff to be CDI Certified Facilitators.

2) All employees will go through our proprietary interviewing process by your trained CDI Facilitators.

3) All will participate in our action groups.

4) Everyone receives workbooks and training materials that work in conjunction with the system.

The materials contain points, principles, and philosophies of our program. The workbook also becomes a self-reflective journal that you will use the rest of your life to document your goals, dreams and successes. The entire program creates a unique, creative and positive atmosphere that is guided by two extremely important rules:

1.) NO LIMITS

2.) NO NEGATIVES

Imagine being in a group where there is no negativity and no limits. It's simple and it's powerful. There is nothing like it when everyone is focusing on the positive and on WHAT CAN BE DONE WITH WHAT WE HAVE NOW, instead of focusing on what is wrong and what cannot be done today. We don't come in to your company or organization and tell you how things should be run. We don't tell you what is wrong or how to do things right. You know what your needs are and what kind of challenges you face. We help you to facilitate and work out your own problems and realize your dreams. We enable you to create the new programs and processes needed in your company to achieve success in the new era in which we all now find ourselves. The results are always long lasting when you do this together as a team.


But if you don't tell us what to do, then why do we need the T-BLS?

Our system facilitates a process of self-discovery for each individual. It is than shared within their team and throughout the organization. One definition of the word facilitate is "to free from difficulty or impediment." That's what our system does. We set up a process that removes the typical impediments to self-discovery, teamwork, and positivity that infect our daily work life.


OK, that's nice, but what happens after CDI leaves our company?

Well that's another thing that makes our programs different from any other program we know. We specially select and train your employees form all levels to conduct regular action groups long after we are gone. Every person employed by the company is now their own company promoting brilliance, talents and dreams and service in each co-worker, their customer as well as their customers outside. That's another reason that the magic stays and the positivity continues for years. Also, the process of no negatives, no limits, self-discovery and team building that you go through is powerful. It's not something that you just forget within a few weeks.

We also setup a program where we will be involved on a quarterly basis for the first year and assess the successes and challenges you may be having as you continue with this program. At the end of the year we will re-train your certified facilitators. We will share what has been working and not working within your company and other companies throughout the country. We are constantly working with organizations all over the country. We all can, and will learn, from one another.
