EVALUATION

WORKSHOP

United States Air Force

(Senior Management, Human Resource Department)

THE PENTAGON

June, 1999

Evaluation of speaker:

1=Poor to 10=Excellent: Average = 8.6

 9, 7, 8, 9, 10, 10, 9, 10, 7

Comments

  • Thought the speaker was well organized and spoke clearly.
  • Excellent presentation. Suggest not using in the training session the same stories used in the prior telephone interview. Does lead to a sense of a scripted, canned, "one size fits all" presentation.
  • Suggest a little more "magic" injected into the discussion.
  • Comments & examples relating to topics were very helpful in understanding the concepts presented.
  • Excellent presentation. Perfect for a Federal group. Good credibility.
  • Did a great job keeping us focused and keeping us positive and pointed us in a positive direction.
  • Jeff Willis knows his business. Organized, productive, on-track, entertaining, and positive. Would be extremely welcome to give us a docs of ourselves any time.

Evaluation of the content and organization of the program:

1=Poor to 10=Excellent: Average = 7.7

7, 7, 8, 6, 7, 9, 9, 8, 10, 6

Comments:

  • Should have had entire office -hindsight- our design problem.
  • The program came across well but appears to cause sensitivity with some.
  • Slow start - de-emphasize the life history of the founder. Found little value added that Greg was big in bathrooms.
  • Planned well starting with interview on the phone.
  • Excellent one day program. Would be great to have a second day for planning.
  • Very good examples/exercises leading us to discussion of issues that are very important to Content & organization directly related to the needs of our group.

1. How do you feel the CDI program has helped you personally?
  • Good reminders - know others in office better. Good to focus more on others - less on myself.
  • It made me more aware of people personalities and what their goals are.
  • Forced personal reflection. Provided office environment ideas.
  • No.
  • Good for assessing future job interest areas -have a good plan in mind.
  • Helped me to analyze my work and do it more efficiently.
  • Better personal focus of my goals & my role in this organization.
  • Helped me to focus on things in the office and in life that I do not normally tend to dwell on.
  • Provide block of inner-perspective. More focus of where I want to go and not go.
  • It was good to learn some things I didn't know about others.

2. How do you feel the CDI program has impacted your team, group, and/or organization?

  • Good list of items to work on.
  • If some of the suggestions changed the way things are, then it has helped.
  • More appreciative of others views.
  • Temporary effects only. Without any further action, people will revert to old patterns within less than three weeks.
  • Broken pre-set notions of the "attitude" impaired individuals.
  • Opened up communications among teams and helped understand others.
  • This was the 1st group exercise for many in the group. CDI offered a good basic 1st time program.
  • positive impact - Jeff did a great job facilitating the groups interraction and bringing out Issues.
  • Expect to see a few differences in our organization - pro & con - based on dreams & talents.
  • It was good to get people to say how office could be improved. However, there are significant differences in individual work ethics and performance standards that are really hindering our working as a team & this has not been resolved.

3. Do you feel that continuing the CDI programs will impact your team, group, and/or organization? If yes, what do you believe the impact will be?

  • Will be interested to see what others think - but not really new info or process for me.
  • For this I am not sure.
  • Will reserve judgment until there has been time to reflect on the day and obtain participant feedback.
  • Don't think this is likely to happen! I'm surprised that being in HR we are so stupid/uncaring/unseeing as a group.
  • Would help build closer work relationship with others.
  • I think we'll see tremendous improvement - if we continue with CDI or something like it. Better relationships, better productivity. Great day! Thanks so much.
  • Yes, believe it could be very positive.
  • Continuing may be the difficult area. If continued, we'll do well.
